Duties and Responsibilities:
Performing a full range of variable inspection and production-related tasks. Correction guidance, administrative duties including documenting the method of correction of quality issues.
Setting high quality standards and capable of communicating those standards diplomatically.
Inspection work can include visual inspection, touch point inspection, and the use of measuring equipment to determine conformity of a part.
Lead rework projects, eliminate defects with parts which may include rejection and recycling.
Possible polishing and deburring or replacing components.

Essential Job Function:
• Supervision of quality inspection
• Lead quality improvement techniques and methods
• Responsible for the availability and maintenance of proper equipment, tools and gauges
• Communicates with customer contacts as needed on job requirements
• Verifies compliance with procedures, policies and job site specific regulations
• Completes required paperwork as needed for duration and completion of a project
• Able to manage a wide range of projects and communicate with a variety of clients

  • Effectively operate electronic measurement equipment such as coordinate measuring tools
  • Familiar with MS Office and able to use other computer programs such as Excel and Outlook on a daily basis
  • Lift a minimum of up to 50 pounds
  • Stand for extended periods
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Capable of providing training of other team members and production staff
  • Communicate effectively with all other fabrication and production team members

Qualifications:
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a lead hand in a manufacturing environment
• Automotive quality experience a strong asset
• University or college degree
• Able to read and interpret blueprints
• A history of being dependable and reliable
• Basic math, reading, and comprehension skills
• Provide own transportation
