Description:
People, Policies & Practices
- Supervise employees, coordinate tasks, and delegate responsibilities and procedures
- Mentor, develop, and train employees to ensure compliance with company standards and expectations
- Abide by company policies, procedures, programs, systems, and standards
- Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and local laws and ethical business practices
- Create and maintain employee schedules, ensuring optimal coverage in the restaurant
- Coach employees and address issues by providing feedback and holding them accountable when necessary
Interpersonal Skills & Contacts
- Respond to employee inquiries and complaints with compassion and care
- Create a friendly environment by providing regular and open communication
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, external contacts, the management team, and employees
Problem Solving & Judgement
- Evaluate problematic situations to determine resolutions and arrangements
- Analytically and thoroughly gather data to support and assist with the decision making process
- Take initiative to determine the best option to solve problems as they arise
- Identify opportunities to optimize efficiencies and maximizing profits
- Plan for daily operations and ensure each shift is prepared to serve customers
Information Resources
- Accumulate data to prepare reports and other correspondence as needed
- Produce memos, emails, and other documents to communicate essential information
- Draft and maintain procedures, policies, training programs and other documents
Requirements:
- One year of fast food and/or restaurant experience required
- Previous experience working as a manager or in a leadership role is preferred
- High School Diploma is required
- College/University Diploma/Certificate in Business Administration is an asset
- Leadership training is an asset
- Able to decipher and follow operational procedures and policies
- Experience mentoring, training, and coaching people
- Previous experience handling cash, credit, and debit transactions
- Basic computer and math skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and customer service skills
- Superior time management, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Exceptional ability to work well under pressure and comfortable working in a fast paced environment
