Description: 

Lankhuijzen Farms Ltd. is looking for an experienced person to assist us with managing a medium-sized farm, growing potatoes, corn and soybeans. This is a full-time position. Housing may be available. Salary of $25-30/hour depending on experience. Farm located near Port Burwell/ Vienna.

 

Duties

  • Working with farm manager /owner to oversee a crew of 3-4 employees and an additional 4 seasonal employees.
  • Maintaining farm equipment (tractors, sprayers, trucks, forklift) performing preventative maintenance as well as repairs.
  • Operating farm equipment, including tractors, sprayer and trucks as well as an automated potato wash line.
Requirements: 
  • Valid Drivers License with a clear abstract
  • Must have Mechanical aptitude / Mechanical experience
  • Knowledgeable about farming practices
  • Willing and able to work 6 days per week during the summer season, including some evenings.
